Gloucester, MA – November 14, 2024 – NeedyMeds, a national nonprofit focused on expanding healthcare and medication access, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Rowe as its new President. Ruth will take over from Dr. Richard Sagall, who founded NeedyMeds over two decades ago and has led its growth into a trusted resource for individuals seeking affordable healthcare options.
Ruth, known as Ruthie to her colleagues, joined NeedyMeds in 2012 as a helpline counselor. She quickly rose through the organization, becoming HR Manager in 2019, Director of Operations in 2023, and now, President in 2024. Her educational journey began at North Shore Community College, where she obtained an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies. She continued her studies at Suffolk University in Boston, earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Legal Studies. Ruthie also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Framingham State University. Recently, she completed the Institute for Nonprofit Practice & Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University Certificate in Social Impact Management & Leadership.
